WikiPediaBugs
Not really a bug, but...
I was trying to find a good way to change the links for the entire UnitedStatesConstitution section so that all the subsections would automatically migrate to United States Constitution. Instead of copying and pasting everything on the web, I figured I could just copy the files on the server from one directory to the other. I tried this and the site broke, so now I think I will just ask if there is a way to do this. So,
When we are changing links to the much nicer free link style, is there a good way to get subsections changed as well without having to manually edit each page in the subsection?
I noticed on the Sweden page (http://www.wikipedia.com/wiki.cgi?Sweden) some of the cities were wiki links and others were not. It looks like cities with umlauts do not show up as links:
Malmö,
Malmo,
As an American I have no qualms about ignoring umlauts, accent graves, and other such things that non-English speakers seem attached to. But perhaps others will want to use these.

''A temporary solution that fixes the links, but not the page titles, is Malmö.
I think we will have to wait on this one until CliffordAdams is back from vacation. I will study the code a bit.
This is a very vexing problem, I bet. Because what we really want is to let people type fancy letters if they want, but to have them ultimately resolve to non-fancy letters (so that MeatBall:AccidentalLinking still works fairly well). Also, I don't think fancy letters are legal in a URL at all, so they can't be linking codes.
Do you have $NonEnglish set to 1 in your config file? As for squashing the fancy letters down to Latin, you can probably use a quick tr/// table to do that. -- SunirShah----
Q. The new wiki software has 3 links to edit a page. There are two on the bottom, one after each other. Isn't this overkill?
