A tiny island in the South Pacific, one of the most remote sites of human habitation on the planet. Its fascinating history begins with the famous mutiny on the H.M.S. Bounty; the original Pitcairners were roughneck sailors and their Tahitian "wives." An English-Polynesian creole, as well as EnglishLanguage, are spoken there.
