Memory, in the primary sense of this word, is one of the capacities of the human mind, much studied by cognitive psychology. Psychologists distinguish various kinds of memory:

Memory, also referred to as Random Access Memory, is a form of dynamic storage. Computers use memory to hold the program text and variables during execution. Memory is a member of the larger class referred to as Storage.
