A lifestyle where, intentionally, and in the face of actual opportunities, one does not:

• Drink alcohol
• Have sex
• Smoke tobacco
• Use drugs

A straight edge lifestyle is not:

• associated with any particular religion
• does not claim any basis in religion
• is not a philosophy

It is something one does without worrying about philosophizing

it.
