Bounty]]; the original Pitcairners were roughneck sailors and their Tahitian "wives." An English-Polynesian creole, as well as [[EnglishLanguage]], are spoken there. A protectorate of the [[United Kingdom]] --but politically unique. Population (1991) around 60.
