Hydrogen

The lightest, and most abundant chemical element, consisting of a single proton and

a single electron.

Under normal terrestrial conditions, it is a diatomic gas. The gas burns in air to produce water; hence the name hydrogen is derived from Latin, meaning water-maker

It has two other isotopes, deuterium and tritium
