Britney Jean Spears is an American pop singer. Born December 2, 1981 in Kentwood, Louisiana, Britney first came to fame as a member of DisneY's MickeyMouseClub in the 1993 and 1994 seasons.

Castmates included JustinTimberlake and JoshuaChasez, who later became members of the pop band NSynC, and ChristinaAguilera, also a pop singer.

Her first album, BabyOneMoreTime, debuted in the number 1 spot on the BillboardCharts in early 1999. Her followup album, OopsIDidItAgain was a similarly huge success.
