Hank Rearden's mother is unnamed (I think) in Atlas Shrugged. She lives with Rearden at his home in Philadelphia. She is involved in church-based charity work, and berates Rearden whenever she can. She insults him by saying he was always selfish, even as a child. She dotes on her weak son Philip Rearden.
