Amoeboid

A cell form characterized by the presence of Pseudopods, temporary cell projections involved in locomotion and feeding. The amoeboid protists are referred to as the Sarcodina, although this is by no means a monophyletic group. Amoeboid cells are also found inside multicellular organisms - for instance, white blood cells are amoeboid.
