&lt;p&gt;In BibTex, how does one represent the paragraph number for a &lt;a
href=&quot;http://www.historycooperative.org/cgi-bin/cite.cgi?f=jah/89.1/halttunen.html&quot;&gt;citation
in online -- non-paginated -- articles&lt;/a&gt;? Some journals request that
citations indicate the paragraph number of the online resource. I do not know
how to represent that in BibTex: I know of no tags for paragraph numbers in
the BibTex format, nor do I think most LaTex tools/styles know how to
represent them in a citation...?&lt;/p&gt;
