&lt;p&gt;I have just completed revising the syllabus for of course I will be again teaching in the spring of 2007: &lt;a href=&quot;/joseph/2007/impacts/syllabus.html&quot;&gt;Understanding how we understand: technological predictions, myths, and implications&lt;/a&gt;. Pedagogically, the class is very much influenced by Brookfield and Presskill (1999), &lt;em&gt;Discussion as a way of teaching: tools and techniques for democratic classrooms&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
