&lt;p&gt;In the spring I will again be teaching a class on &lt;a href=&quot;http://reagle.org/joseph/2008/conflict/cm-syllabus.html&quot;&gt;conflict management&lt;/a&gt;. More than one colleague has expressed puzzlement as to why I would teach this class, but I really enjoy it. While I, and a few students, might enjoy discussions on the historical nuances of technology or reference works, conflict management is relevant to everyone -- and I do get to discuss Wikipedia NPOV and good faith! I have developed two exercises for understanding cognitive &lt;a href=&quot;http://reagle.org/joseph/2008/conflict/notes/exercise-pd-game.odt&quot;&gt;priming&lt;/a&gt; on cooperation/competition (i.e., prisoners dilemma) and &lt;a href=&quot;http://reagle.org/joseph/2008/conflict/notes/exercise-negotiation.odt&quot;&gt;integrative bargaining&lt;/a&gt; that might be of use to others.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
